Tuesday evening, August 6, RCSS had the privilege of celebrating with the 18 Apprenticeship NC registered apprentices and 8 graduates at the 8th Annual Signing and 2024 Graduation Ceremony at Randolph Community College.
Congratulations are also in order to our very own 2024 Apprenticeship Ambassador, Ms. Poppy Cox, Career Development Coordinator of Randleman High School. Thank you Ms. Cox for your promotion and steadfast commitment to making AR a great opportunity for students.

Attention all RCSS-certified staff, mark your calendar!

The “Pride in the Randolph County School System (RCSS)” program recognizes employees who display “pride in the school system” and “high character/high commitment” through their daily efforts. The primary focus is on smaller events associated with employees’ actions not as likely to attract much public attention. Nonetheless, actions by employees in relation to large events can be recognized as well.
Individuals selected for this recognition receive a “Pride in the Randolph County School System” lapel pin. Recipients of the pins are determined by the members of the RCSS Leadership Team, school principals, or Board of Education members.
Listed on the following pages are the “Pride in RCSS” pin recipients from May 1, 2023 to April 30, 2024. Thank you to these employees for their commitment to the Randolph County School System!

Attention!! End-of-year PowerSchool information

Your RCSS high schools never rest! The regular school year may have ended last week but this week began a list of summer opportunities for student growth. Language learners are sharpening their English communication skills while some students engage in distance learning with facilitators, for example. Featured in photos are Irene Parra and Leslie Zimmerman, English as a Second Language (ESL) teachers who are working with students this week at Randleman High School and Samuel Colli Chan and Jennifer May who are leading ESL students at Southwestern Randolph High School.

RCSS is launching a new mobile app to help students, parents, and community members know what is happening on campus from their phones. Most families use their phones as a primary means of communication, so we've created an app that is custom-built to your school for smartphones. On the app, your students, parents, and community can read the latest announcements, locate staff contact information, review upcoming events, and find important documents. The RCSS app is available to download free from the Apple App Store or the Google Play store.
