Tonight, Twelfth-grade student-athletes from Asheboro City Schools and the Randolph County School System were honored with "Sportsmanship" awards at the Randolph Sports Council Winter Banquet held at Black Powder Smokehouse in Asheboro. The event featured guest speaker Woody Younts, a retired educator and coach.

Upcoming Randolph Community College CCP Open House Information



Due to the weather issues, the first day of the 2nd semester will now be the first day that the students return to school. A decision has not been made about tomorrow 1/24/25. When a decision is made, a call will go out and we will post on all websites and social media.


RCSS will be operating on a 3-hour delay tomorrow, 1/24/25.


Attention high school students, parents, and community members: Apprenticeship Randolph is hosting their 2025 Community Night on Feb. 20th from 5-7 p.m. at the JB & Claire Davis Corporate Training Center at Randolph Community College, 413 Industrial Park Ave., Asheboro. Meet the employers, apprentices, take a tour of the state-of-the-art manufacturing lab spaces, and learn more about how juniors and seniors can earn and learn with Apprenticeship Randolph – with zero college debt. Just a reminder, tomorrow, Wednesday, 1/22/2025 is a make up testing date for students that have not yet taken their exams. All RHS students return to school on Thursday, January 23 for the start of second semester.

Due to the weather forecast, all after-school activities, including athletic team practices and games, are cancelled for today (1/21/25).


Juniors and Seniors: It’s time for the 2025 Apprenticeship Randolph Information Session on January 29 at 9:30 am in the RHS Theater. If you are interested in a career in Advanced Manufacturing, machining or mechatronics OR Information Technology (computer support with a local company) while earning a paycheck and your debt-free degree from Randolph Community College in 3 years, Apprenticeship Randolph may be for you. Apprenticeship Randolph students graduate after 3 years with an in-demand career making a minimum of $41,600 per year.
