Due to Teacher Workdays, RCSS will be closed to students on 1/21/25 and 1/22/25.


Attention Parents and Students,
State testing begins on Monday, January 13th. Please be sure your student knows their exam schedule and arrives at school early on the days of their scheduled exams. Students are required to bring their charged Chromebook for testing. Please know our plan in the event inclement weather impacts the school day next week. If we operate on a delay, testing will begin at the start of the school day. If we operate on a 2 hour delay, testing will begin at 10:00 am. If school closes on Monday, all test takers for Monday will be moved to Tuesday. All Tuesday exams will be moved to Wednesday and so on. Please be attentive to any communication via phone, email, and social media platforms for testing updates. Thank you for your support and cooperation.


Good evening! This is an important announcement regarding the school day tomorrow, January 10th.
We will dismiss at 11:00 AM tomorrow. The focus for the day will be to provide an opportunity for students who are required to complete their teacher-made exams for 2nd and 4th block classes only.
Please note, we will be operating on an altered schedule to accommodate these exams. More information regarding state testing, which begins next week, will be shared soon.

RCSS School Nutrition Services prepares approximately 6,500 breakfast and 10,000 lunch meals for students each school day. The purpose of this survey is to gather feedback about our breakfast and lunch menus from parents, teachers, and staff. We will use this feedback to update our menus in order to enhance the school meal experience for our students. Due to the inclement weather and road conditions, all schools will be closed today (12/3/24). As a result of this decision, today (12/3/24) will become an optional teacher workday.


The Randolph County School System's Career and Technical Education Department held its third annual "From Classroom to Career" event on Friday, November 22, at Journey Church in Asheboro. This Career Expo, designed as part of the college and career pathway, specifically targets high school juniors. With nearly 50 industry partners and various branches of the armed forces present, students had the opportunity to engage with employers and explore the wide range of career opportunities available within the 16 career clusters.
